Wyevale Nurseries to unveil 2026 retailers’ catalogue at HTA National Plant Show

WYEVALE Nurseries’ 2026 promotional catalogue aimed at retailers is launching at the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) National Plant Show this week featuring an abundance of new British-grown varieties (June 2025).

The leading commercial grower is showcasing some of its plant promotions from the catalogue, which is a consolidation of the very best tried and tested promotional plants, at the show.

Managing Director at Wyevale Nurseries in Hereford, Andy Johnson explains: “The National Plant Show at NAEC Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire on June 18 and 19 offers us a wonderful opportunity to meet with our retail customers and to give them a taste of what we have available for 2026. It’s always a huge highlight in our calendar and we’re very excited to be there once again this year.

“We’re launching our new full colour printed and digital catalogue at the show. It includes a dozen new British-grown introductions for garden centres to stock in their plantarias to help drive customer interest, meet demand for new trends, while also assisting with boosting footfall and sales next year.

“During the past 12 months, we have been working hard on consolidating our range and focusing production on the very best varieties we know will appeal to gardeners and will perform well. Our dedicated trials area allows us to assess new varieties and production regimes to ensure we deliver the best to market.”

The 12 new promotions added to Wyevale Nurseries’ catalogue for 2026 are:

•    Anisodontea Carnival Lights Collection
•    Dahlia Omega
•    Exochorda racemosa Blushing Pearl
•    Geranium Orkney Cherry
•    Geum Flames of Passion
•    Heucherella Redstone Falls
•    Heucherella Solar Eclipse
•    Miscanthus Lady in Red
•    Nepeta faasenii Kit Kat
•    Papaver Red Rumble
•    Salvia Belle de Loire
•    Salvia Wine and Roses

Andy adds: “Our product development is critical to meeting future market demands and our plant selection is highly respected across the industry.

“We anticipate and understand the ever-changing marketplace and are always looking at emerging trends – such as the garden design trends at Chelsea, which this year featured cottage garden and more naturalistic planting themes, as well as a strong emphasis on plants able to cope with potential extreme weather conditions.

“We’re also seeing a demand for plants that can be container grown, allowing people to easily change up their garden look, and that are easy to care for and perform well all year round. Our 2026 catalogue also features a new section where our retail experts give their top picks for the coming year too.”

Wyevale Nurseries’ Garden Centre Sales Executive, Lisa Ashford has selected a plant that is perfect for both cottage gardens and more contemporary schemes as her top choice for 2026.

She says: “Dianella tasmanica Destiny is my top pick, not only for its striking foliage which lends itself to a minimalist container planting design, it also looks great in a cottage style border scheme. It is hardy, low maintenance and resilient in many different growing environments, including being drought tolerant, so really is a plant to consider stocking in your plant area!”

Colin Stanley, Retail Sales Manager at Wyevale Nurseries, says his top pick for 2026 is an old favourite.

He explains: ‘I’ve chosen Choisya White Dazzler as I think it’s the perfect evergreen shrub for any garden, large or small. White Dazzler is incredibly floriferous with lovely pure white, scented flowers which emerge in spring often repeating later in the season. It’s a compact grower and requires just a little occasional trimming to maintain its natural compact habit. It ticks so many boxes; everyone should have one in their garden.”

Wyevale Nurseries supplies garden centres, landscape contractors, local authorities, foresters and landowners with a comprehensive array of trees, shrubs, hedging, herbaceous and specimen plants.

Andy concludes: “We’re an award-winning supplier to UK garden centres and are proud members of the Garden Centre Association and Horticultural Trades Association. Our highly experienced and knowledgeable retail team works closely with retailers to help deliver their needs including putting together tailor-made packages.”
