While the weather at this year's RHS Malvern Spring Festival was the crowning glory for the many beautiful show gardens, Rolawn's topsoils and mulches provided the perfect foundation as the competition, along with the glorious weather, heated up.
In total, Rolawn products were used in five of the six Gold medal winning gardens at the early-season show, all four Silver-Gilts, and all of the Silver and Bronze winners. A total of 13 medals, plus another for Bloms Bulbs, which won Gold in the Floral Marquee.
The show gardens drew praise from BBC presenters, industry specialists and the general public alike, commenting on their design, diversity and dynamism. Every one of the gardens chose to take advantage of Rolawn topsoils and mulches, which are renowned winners when it comes to gold medal show gardens.
Rolawn's Medallion turf provided superb framing of the gardens for judging, with the younger and thinner product rooting more rapidly than ever, ready in time for the show's opening.
Rolawn Sales & Marketing Director Jonathan Hill said: "We were delighted to be asked by Malvern's organisers, the RHS and the Three Counties Agricultural Society, to support the show gardens. Working closely with many of the industries finest designers is an absolute pleasure.
"To witness first-hand the impact their creativity and build expertise has on visitors makes our involvement very worthwhile. An added bonus was to have numerous satisfied customers come onto our stand and share their gardening projects. With new lawns, raised beds, tree planting schemes, allotments, mulching, and of course, plenty of seasonal lawn advice discussed."
Peter Dowle, owner of Howle Hill Nursery, awarded Gold and Best Construction for ‘The Spirit in the Woods', commented: "I'm so pleased that Rolawn chose to support the RHS Malvern Spring Festival. It's a show that is improving year on year and Rolawn's involvement is further proof that it continues to attract more and more of the UK's market leaders. The jumbo Medallion rolls are an absolute winner at shows…great quality, as always, and so quick to lay."
